Record button is not working properly

Please help someone.. I have a Sony CCDR-98 camcorder. It has no damage. Everything was working good. Now when I trying to record, it is not happened anything. I hit the camcorder body lightly serveral times, then the camcorder starting record. I have to repeat this strange actions when I made record off and on. If anyone knows how it can fix the problem, please let me know. Thanks.
