Hi, I am having a similiar problem. My tv will not turn on at all with the remote, and if I turn it on with the power button it will just cycle through on/off about 10 times. We have ours connected to a power surge cord. So I am under the impression that we were protected from surges. Let me know what you find out. This tv cost of a small fortune, and I really an not currently in the position to purchase a new one. Man this stinks!
