I have only had my camera for 7 months, and it is now giving me the following error message AS WELL.. "Unit in safeguard mode Remove and reattach battery" The unit no longer opens/ so I can't take out the tape... and removing and reattaching the bat

tery is not helping. Does anybody have any suggestions. I bought it off of ebay so it has no warranty, which means... right now I am also looking for a camera that has similar features...but this time I want to choose wisely!
