I've Panasonic SA-AK40 and error F61 appears on display. Just this and no work. As I read more pages here at this site about F61 error of other type Panasonic units, I found the solution: to change IC. But if you see for. ex. partstore.com webpage for SA-AK40, unfortunately there are more kind of ICs! Could you help what partnumber should be replaced? Thanx!

Thomas, I purchased a panasonic...home theater system. After hook-up, tried to turn the system on and guess what...F61 error. That is all that system would do. After contacting panasonic, I took the system back to where I pruchased it because, panasonic was NO HELP with correcting this issue. My advice to you is get a full refund if possible and switch to another brand. Hope you are able to take the system back and recieve a refund....Good luck! Troy from Michigan...

The audio power module is out. If you read back over the questions on this site you will see that panasonic has a terrible record with their audio power modules. The RSN311W6B from Panasonic is about 130.00. If you can find an after market module, it's about half the price. There is a company in Canada that sells them for $20.00 but they have a $50.00 min. purchase limit. Good luck.
