DFS-700, need help

Brad Posted Feb 01, 2004

A manual or FAQ on using the DFS-700 switcher?

We recently purchased a Sony DFS-700 and I need help in understanding the use of the delegation and AUX buttons and some other gerneral how-to tips. The manual is not helpful. Can you point me to info or user group? Thanks

It's really pretty simple. The delegation buttons determine the function you wish to perform. The AUX buttons match an input channel to use with the selected function. For example, to use CCR (color correction) you must first press CCR in the delegation row and then the AUX button that matches the video channel you wish to correct. We have a tape deck on channel 6. To change the color of the video coming from the tape deck I would press the CCR delegation button and the AUX button above the video input button 6. I can then change the color of the video on input 6.
