36" sony tv kv-32s45 stopped working

TV suddenly turned off by itself. When tried to turn it on either by remote or manually, the red power indicator just flash but no changes on the screen (remains off).

    I was watch a cricket on tv and the thing it went off not picture at all i want to know what it is . i will like to buy a board were i get it from?

    They also had trouble with the "g" power supply boards on those. The 32s45 is a 32" set, not 35" btw, it's tough to diagnose long distance. Maybe you should try the database at the wa6ati.com site. Dennis has a number of sony problems and fixes on it...maybe yours will be there. Good luck.

    The television does not have any sound or picture at all. All it does when turned on is the flashing power indicator. Tried to pull out the main cirduit board and let hang, but no effect. Problem is still the same. I think I got the sour deal with the Trinitron thing! By the way thanks for the input Steve.

    Do you still have sound? If so, you probably have a bad solder joint on the main pcb. Unplug it, take the back off and pull the main (large) circuit board back about half way out of the frame and let the back half of the board hang down. Plug in the set and turn it on...if the picture comes back you need to solder the surface mount components on the underside of the board...not a job for amateurs! But if you confirm this diagnosis your local repair shop might give you a break for pinning down the problem. Good luck.
