Canon Factory Service

Canon Factory Service

Canon Factory Service and Canon Customer Service couldn't be worst if it didn't exist. Twice my Canon G-2 has been in for service at the Factory Service Center. The result - $340 in charges, and a camera that still does not work. It takes four pictures and shuts down until it is plugged into an AC outlet. Not easy in Zion or Bryce National Park. Despite the fact that they can not repair the unit and want to be paid each step of the way, Customer Service stated that the Factory Service Center would contact me concerning the "repair" and a resolution to the money spent trying to fix the camera. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting. Clearly Canon considers their cameras and customers disposable. I was extremely satidfied with my G-1, but my G-2 has fallen short, and Canon Factory Service along with it.
