Sony DSR-PD 150, PD 170

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCES

Hello, I want to know what is the differences of that camera SONY DSR-PD 150 and PD 170 in the video fomat, because I read in the web, that camera its use MINI DVCAM. And the another web I read that camera its us DVCAM. So I want to know which is correct. Or there is two type of that camera? William

    The cameras are essentially identical except for a few new features. They both use Mini-DV/DVCAM tapes. They both record in DVCAM format with option to record in DV mode. Of course, these are very similar except for faster tape speed on DVCAM thus reducing somewhat the dropout potential. Also, with DVCAM, audio is locked to video frames for no drift over time, though in practice, this seldom affects DV users.
