Sony DVP S560D "NO DISK" Error

Javier Posted Jun 14, 2004

How to fix this problem or where to but the spare part.

Hi, Today my Sony DVP S560D begin to show a "NO DISK" error with whatever DVD/CD or VCD I pop in. I opened it and saw through the DVD that at least the laser is glowing (light on) and trying to find the DVD track 0 back and forth, even changing its intensity (it wavelenght I suppose). After a short trial and error, it stop and show "NO DISK" on the front panel. Do I have to buy the whole LASER PICK UP assembly? I already clean the laser just in case. Or do I have to buy a new board (PCB) in order to fix this. Thanks in advance, PS: Where could I buy those spare parts?

Replace fuse.F402 with a o-ohm resistor.(Use jumper wire) Next......Replace R416 and R418 both 150k resistors to 82k ohm resistors. All these parts are found on the mother boared.(MB boared) on side B. Good luck ...
