Don't buy a Canon GL1!

I've had a GL1 for 3 1/2 years and recently experienced a couple of pixels burning out or through onto the taped program. Canon originally said it would cost $400-$500 to repair. When I got the bill it was $1,460.73. Canon refuses to take responsibility for a defective or inferior product.
