Can RFU adaptor be self-made?

This type of camcorder has a connecting at the bottom for the RFU adaptor. it is 22 pin. I have seen the photo of the otherside of the adaptor. Is it possible to self-make such an adaptor by using the parts from a TV set? and what can replace the viewfinder? How does viewfinder work?
