I have the same problem and I had someone hold down the outside door button. I could hear a clicking in the speakers and I noticed smoke coming out of the 37821-1A board - the one that has a place where the chime plugs in. It is called "chime out". On the diode and chip side the board has the following number 37821-2B. I an going over to radio shack and see if they have a board. If not then I will order one on line. Will let you know what happens.

  Please let me know if you were able to fix the problem. My doorbell just stop working about two weeks ago and all I can hear is the clicking, but everything else works.

  We had new cabinets installed and had to move the system. All is working find except the doorbell - did you get yours fixed? and was it what you mentioned in your previous note?

  Did you ever get a new circuit board for your NuTone 3303? If so, where did you get it? (I need one too).
