what the hell is wrong with this thing??

ok, this is what's going on. My ps2 is messed and whenever i put a disk in it i have 2 go 2 the browser screen because it doesn't play from the main screen. Now it wasn't doing this befor but now whenever i try 2 play a disk (any disk) it will say reading disk 4 about 2 seconds then the text will dissapear...can sum1 help me with this problem??
