problems create in MP3 Player

I bought Sony Hi-fi(model no-MHC-RV22)on 7th nov.2004. but after few days its creates problem (e.g system cannot read MP3 Cd). I had launching the complaint the engineer came and replaced the lens of music system and he says that lens was weak. Now, finally Iwant to Know that was right and what was the age of lens and how much it work good. It is possible the lens goes weak in two or three months.
