Flashing Standby constantly
I have a Sony DAV-FC7 Home Theater System and it continually locks up and flashes "standby". Upon searching the net, it seems that this is constant issue and many people have either gotten it repaired or just exchanged it. There have been mentions to resistors or IC chips that were replaced to repair this issue. Does anyone have any more information on this?

I have the same exact issue. Everything else on the unit works fine, but I can't play or eject or swap DVD's at all now, and when I go to shut it down -- it just flashes STANDBY forever. Mine is about 2-3 yrs old though, so I don't think I can get it fixed. Know anybody who repairs these!?

i had problem with this as well,the system freezes and it locks while watching a dvd..i think they have a problem with the dvd section in the system.
