Hi Ginger, I had the same problem with my JVC TV AV-27985 and was able to fix it with the help of a friend. I replace the C926 (1000uf35v) Capacitor.It's one of the power switch component located at the rear end of the TV chassis. Let someone who knows about electronics do the job for you.The part is very cheap at $2.99 for a package of three.GoodLuck!
