JVC DR-MV1S

JVC DR-MV1S, getting a No Signal message when I try to copy from the VHS to the DVD. Need Help please :)

Hello, I have the JVC VHS/DVD recorder model DR-MV1S. I've had it for over a month now and I've read and re-read the manuel that comes with it and I still can't figure out how to copy my home movies (VHS) to DVD-RWs. I thought that you simply put the VHS tape into the componet. Then placed the DVD-RW into the componet. Pushed record, and that would do it. But I get a "No Signal" message on my screen when I do that. From what I can tell I have everything hooked up correctly (I had someone else hook it up for me). I can record the TV with the VCR (haven't tried with the DVD). If there is anyone who can help me with this I would be most greatful. Thank you, Matt

What is the 'LOADING' freeze fault. I may be suffing from that. My display just keeps blinking "loading" and the power button is on no use.

Hi Matt The instructions are not very clear, what you are trying to do JVC call 'Dubbing' under the heading of 'Editing' I hope you don't get the 'LOADING' freeze fault I and many others have with this machine.
