Homeps2 problem - no color / display in black and white suddenly / Tv works perfectly / New AV Cable didn't fixKatee Posted Mar 25, 2005My PS@ suddenly lost all color and the screen only displays the games in black and white I changed out the AV cable and it still didn't fix the problem. My tv works fine. I have a Sony Trinitron 32 inch that's about 6 years old. The PS2 isn't 1st generation, and is about 4 years old. All connectiond are tight. The color will sometimes come back if I restart, but then the screen will shake and fade to black and white. No other problems. I can play fine in black and white, it's just ANNOYING! HELP!

When you first start it up, it will usually start out in color, but after a couple minutes will simply go to black and white. It's getting really frustrating. I'm even using different cables for connecting them, so I'm beginning to think it's a problem with the TVs auxiliary channels.... Though we haven't had a problem with the X-box 360 yet.
