Harold, I have exactly the same problem with my lifestyle 28 system. It fried some electronic components in front of the transformer on the main board. I also suspect it was from a power surge although I'm a bit confused as it didn't blow the fuse. Perhaps the transformer was faulty. If you have any luck sourcing a new board could you please email me on where you got it and how much. Much appreciated.
