panasonic sc-ht650 f61 error

Where to order part for Panasonic sc-ht650

My panasonic is displaying an f61 error code. The local service shop said the voltage regulator module is bad and will fix it for $190. I was wondering if anone knows where I can order this part so I can fix it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a picture of what the item looks like and where it is located? Looking into this for a friend down the street, exact model and error message. TIA Troy

I have the same problem with my SC-HT650 unit. How should I know if the F61 error is from the voltage regulator? How should I check it?

David, I have the same model SC-HT650 and am having the same error code F61. Were you successful in finding and replacing the voltage regulator as suggested, or did you have it fixed? If you were able could I get the part number and where you got it, if not from the website listed in the other reply. I would think having it fixed would be senseless as you could buy the unit for close to the price to repair.

You will need to open it up and get the number off the front of the voltage regulator. The number usually starts with an STK and is attached to a heat sink. The system I am presently repairing has an STK470-050A which costs $13.82 + shipping. This may not be the part for your system but it will give you a ball park figure of how much yours will cost http://www.wehaveparts.com/
