Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated!

I grabbed my camara last night as I prepared for the 7 day outing I'm about to go on. I went to fire it up so I could verify I had a few blank tapes to run off of for the trip. Battery was dead...went to put in back up battery and I couldn't remove the infolithium battery! I didn't want to use brute force and I've never had to. I did press quite hard upwards to see if it would come out but to no avail! I plugged in the AC power cord and the camera functioned perfect. I left to charge overnight and this morning...still no battery power! I need to get this battery out before I leave tomorrow!!! Can anyone help??
