lens cap warning

Rachelle Wilkens Posted May 20, 2005

My JVC camcorder says I have my lens cap on but I don't.

I have a JVC GR-AXM151 camcorder that says I have my lens cap on but I do not. The camera is only 1 year old. What can I do?

Wow,what a suprise.I came on here hoping to find a quick fix for the same lens cap problem. My camera is just over 2 years old and hardly used.Needless to say I am very disappointed in this product.I am going to phone the toll free number just to hear what they have to say.

Hi Rachelle It seems there is nothing you can do ,except paying the high service centre fees. I have a GR-D50 with the same problem, i got a total of maximum 10 hours use out of my camera and have always treated it with extreme care. My camera was just out of warranty when this happened and i could not get JVC Australia to even return my emails. Lesson to be learned, DO NOT EVER AGAIN BUY JVC PRODUCTS and tell every one you know about their inferior products. Getting back to the problem at hand. I was informed from the place that i bought this piece of junk, that it is a common problem caused by a faulty chip. I remember a time when companies would stand by their products and fix THEIR mistakes. Not a happy camper! Johnnie
