Wide horz. green line

I have a JVC AV-56P585 projection tv. All that appears on the screen is a wide (about 2 inch) green line across the center. A service tech who looked at the set said there was a problem in the convergence board which does not sound correct to me. Also, he said he could not get a replacement for this. Any ideas ?? Thanks
