I need a program or plugin that will allow me to convert EDLs from an Avid into Excel. It seems the Avid language doesn't jive with Excel. I'm essentially trying to create a database in Excel that will accept Avid files.

I work for a company that has a large media library of Beta tapes but the system is need of an organization overhaul. We are struggling to create a database that catalogues all of our stock footage and is easily accessed by our editors, so that they can send their EDLs directly to the database fro m the Avids. Is there a program out there that could help facilitate an efficient communication with the Avids and a program like Excel? Please forgive my lack of knowledge in this area.
