Hi Gill Regard Sony KF42SX300 I've Had 4 Televisions of above model 1 of which was direct from Sony also had two repairs still having problems decided to take the company to court for full refund. I would not recommend RGB Hi-Fi & Video ever as coustomer service is rubbish.. Names keep changing at there office.. lol. P.s. Sony arranged Tele to be repair it came back and began ARKING out.. changed next day in case of Fire....... They want be laughing when they realise I been told by Trading Standards that I'm covered by 6 Years for refund.... Hope Yours is sorted soon email me your problems

picture module??? if dead no pic or sound its power supply. unless you are a qualified technician (factory) i suggest you consider taking it there. to attempt self repair can result in more expensive damage to the product, the danger of fire or personel harm. i worked for sony for over 20 years and have seen all the above happen including a lethal case of electocution (heart failure)
