damage transistor Q601 and Q602

I have a Sony TV, model is KV-35V36. My problem is I can not power up it. I checked the power supply board.I found the transistor Q601 and Q602 (2SC4834)were bad, the fusiable resistor R607 (0.1ohm) and R622 (0.1ohm) were bad. I replaced them, when I power up the set. they went defective again. which component should I check now? If any body have the wiring diagram or any idea. please give me a help. T hanks a lot Tony

Send me your e-mail address and I'll send some drawings for a KV-32S36 which is very close to your model. The power supply circuits are identical. I believe R602 is 10 ohm fusible not .1 ohm. Also check VD601, C609 and C610. Check for a shorted Hot (Q502) and if it is, check Flyback T503 as well. Disconnect the Degauss Coil and if you have a variac bring the AC up slowly while monitoring the AC current. If you don't have a variac try putting a 150W bulb in series with the AC power and if it lights bright you still have a problem. If the lamp lights bright try removing the HOT and connect two 100W lamps in series across the collector and base. If the lamp now lights dim you have a problem in the Horizontal Output Circuit (Flyback) or I've even heard of a defectice CRT causing excessive load on the HOT. If you do get the set to finally power up check solder joints on the Horizontal Drive Transformer T501. Good Luck, Eric
