Power Loss for Sony KV32V15

I recently lost power to my Sony KV32V15. There was no storms during the day it went out and the unit is plugged into a surge protector. I went to bed one night, turned off the TV, when I woke up the next morning, I tried turning the TV on with both the remote and by pushing the button on the front of the TV. Neither works. I have had this TV for 10 years and it played perfectly. No problems with picture, sound or anything up to this point. Before I drop some money on a new one I figured I would check to see if there is a way to fix this without spending a couple hundred dollars. Thanks!

Will, I had exactly the same problem with my KV32V15 recently. What did you find out when you investigated your power problem? Was Gary's advise helpful?? Thanks, Bill

should be a long glass fuse where the power cord plugs or solders into the circuit board. its probably toast. if your living right this it. if not you may have shorted bridge recifier plus more problems. flip the board upside down and look for burned and seperated etchings. best to refer to qualifed service tech.be very carefull. you can do more damage here. lesson: surge protectors don't work!!!!! luck
