JVC has a CCD corrective action program. They fixed mine for free, even though it is years out of warranty. I called 1-800-252-5722 and they told me to send it to JVC SERVICE & ENGINEERING, 16 CHAPIN RD STE 910, PINE BROOK NJ 07058-9718 with a letter containing my name, address, phone number, and description of the problem -- that the error message displays "lens cap" even when the cap is off. Evidently they are acknowledging the problem and fixing them. Hi I have 8 of those ccd assemblies left in stock. Let me know if you need them and i can mail them out immediately. If yo need me to do the install for you and do the alignments, i can do that as well. Email me for my address and you can send the camcorder out to me for the repair. Thanks Rex probably problem is in ccd base assy the part number is lyh30446-002a-s you must change it with a new one kostis Hey I haven't talked to the JVC company or anything because I figured it's a technical problem. Well I got really frustrated and took the battery off and tried as much stuff as I could, nothing worked. Well last night I decided to turn on the camera and it surprisingly enough, it worked. It's working right now as if nothing was ever wrong. I'm hoping that it'll stay this way. My advice to you or anybody else is just be patient and turn it off for a couple of days. Well any comments or whatever, fell free to email me, YHSmonkey@hotmail.com I also have the same problem i have gd 33us I have the same problem! I called JVC, they basically told me it is my problem. They want me to take it to a service place and I have to pay for it to be fixed. I've been looking online and it is a repeatative problem. JVC won't stand behind there product. |
