to know how long the repairing periods?

I have brought a JVC Video Camcorder last year, and only used it when occationly. now, suddenly, My view cam display a message open cap lock when I on the camcorder and I saw blank on the screen, but after a few minutes, the display is ok(sometimes more than 10 minutes). when I bough the camcorder back to my dealer(ForoKem,KL), the sales girl told me that it need 3 months to repair it or 1 month repairing period on your company. is that true that we have to wait for so long, and how much is the cost of repairing??pls let me know as soon as possible.Thank you
