HomeI have a protect mode message when turning the stereo on. My sony stereo gives the message power protect. I have been told that i need a ic input. Can anyone help with this. Thanks.

"Push Power Protect" indicates that the protection system has detected a fault at the output of the power amp. It could be as simple as the speaker wires shorting or failure of the amplifier IC itself. On my unit, one channel on the amplifier IC failed - DC output. The IC had to be replaced. |
