Sony DSCP10 camera dead

I took a photo and then tried to switch off the camera. It would not and even lense would not go in. There is no power. I took the battery out, connected to AC power but my camera still shows no sign of being live. I manually put the lense in. Any pointers? What to do? Thanks in advance.
