Re: Sony Trinitron KV-27V15 Dead

Ron Posted Sep 17, 2005, in response to:Fred

Hey Fred, did you find out anything about this? I have the same model that was also manufactured in 1994 that just died. Same thing, no problems and suddenly it quit and now there's no power at all.

Mine is a '94 big Trinitron model KV-27V15. I CAN NOT GET THE DARNED THING OUT OF "DEMO MODE" - Please help me Obi Wan! -J

Yes, I was researching what could be wrong with my Sony Trinitron KV-27V10. It was just fine and all of a sudden no power. Completely dead. I unplugged it from the wall outlet for a while and plugged it back in and nothing. This had happened before but it turned back on when we left it unplugged for a while. What could be wrong?

Ron, there is a kit that is available for servicing your power supply. Check with a Sony parts distributor in your area for availabiliy. It involves repaling two transistors, a few fusible resistor and miscellaneous other parts. Eric
