My DCR-TRV330's SEL/PUSH EXEC feature is not working properly.

Every time I try to get the sub menus up, it doesn't work. After pressing the Menu button, I then select the desired feature/effect and press the dial; however, it goes right to the titles menu. This is relly pissing me off!... I mean I might just lose my mind over all of this mess soon. Can anyone help me please? TIA
