Hi no just bought a dvd recorder and run it through the system for surround sound have you cured the problem yet KIERON I know that this message comes a year after you posted your question, but I have the same problem with the HCD-S300 reading CDs but not DVDs... Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem? many thanks, .... Adrian Jones I've seen similar problems. Wondering if there is a realignment adjustment that can be reset via the remote and inserting different type discs. It sound like an alignment problem, as the clicks and skips are audible before the no disc error messages. I've had to resort to washing the discs. For some reason this has helped with playability. These discs aren't visibly dirty and do play on other systems. |
