HomeMoved and must have lost this part along the way. Researched sony parts and this one is discontinued so I can not order it and must find someone with an spare one laying around. I still have the system 2 control cable which is still available for order. Just my luck to lose the one that's unavailable. Would be happy to buy it if you have it. It has no part number on the part, but with research I found it to be part # 1-559-851-11 and can be replaced by part # 1-559-851-21. This is a 7p 5p 7p Cable flat and fits into the System 1 control slots on several models of amps, tuners and cassette decks. My models are TAAX285, TCW285 and STJX285. Thanks, Greg

I am looking for the same cable, I broke mine while disconnecting, if you find please email it to me. The sony has one of the cable for $24.50 but they don't have the other. One is System cable (flat cable) 5 PIN-11 PIN- 5 PIN part # 1-559-852-21 the other one is System cable (flat cable) 7 PIN-7 PIN- 5 PIN part # 1-559-851-21. sony's phone # is 1-800-488-7669. Did you find a cable? Do you still have your st-jx285? Thanks |
