I have a DSC-F717 Sony Camera that I bought in 2003 and have liked everything about it. The other day I picked it up to take some pictures. When I turned it on ther was no picture in the viewer or when I switched to the other way of looking at the subject. Everything else works but that. Would this be a CCD problem? Sony repairs the faulty cameras free of cost in Australia and restricts the policy to select few models only. The defective CCds have affected many other leading brands also and none takes care of the problems of the customers Worldwide. At best we can make it available at reasonable cost. I have developed a problem with my F717 recently which seems to resemble a problem with the CCD chip. I bought my camera in Australia. Can I have it repaired here in India?? I have no idea and was wondering if you could help me with some information. Hope to hear from you. K.Bhattacharyya. |
