Mine is a GR-D30U, but many camcorders from several manufacturers are experiencing CCD trouble. I'll be sending mine out on Friday as my camera is experiencing the "no picture" and "lens cap" problem, reportedly caused by the CCD. I guess they used an epoxy (instead of ceramic) to fit the CCD into the camcorder as it is less expensive. That's what I gather, anyway. It is my understanding, also, that it will be repaired free of charge whether your camcorder is still under warantee or not.
