GR-D90U not able to record

Hi I bought this camera one year back and now When I try to record images it displays only blank message on LCD and the same will be recorded in the minitape.At the same time I am able to play recorded tapes in the camcorder and display perform on the LCD. Also some time it shows that lens cap ...even it is not closed I am frustrated with JVC product .Please help me Thanks
