I emailed first level support with the same problem. I have a SA-EH500. First level told me, its an amplifier IC, that has a defect. Came across your post by accident. I'm am going to bring it in next week and see what it costs to have it fixed.

I've phoned technics and they told me this failure could only be read by a diagnostic repair tool. So my friend has send the device to technics repair centre.
