should i junk this or does it have any parts value?

hi, I just replaced my 8yr old Sony kv-32s16 with a newer digital tv. The kv-32s16's picture started blinking on and off a few months ago. It progressively got worse. I would like to keep it as a spare in another room if it is easily repairable, however its just too heavy to be hauling around town, not knowing the repair cost. If its not an easy repair it will be going to the dump, unless someone has a use for it for parts. Any help or advise is appreciated
