Hi, I don't have that problem, but my camera is broken (the diafragm does't open, i fix it unassembly the hole body, cards, flex cables, etc, its easy to repair it. Mauybe your camera have an accident and fall down, crashes over the switch. If you live in Peru you can contact me. If you are curious (and have a good memory), you can open the box (first take off the battery, then the Memory Stick and then... the screws.... 2 at the side of the switch, 2 at the bottom of the camera, 2 at the left side... Inside you need to disconnect the flex cable who connects the screen with the memory daughter card and the power supply from the external connector to the battery module Then you need to unscrew the 2 black screws in the memory board (behind the copper/plastic protection) and take off (Take a lot of care) first open the brown end to release the flex cable at the left side (it comes from the lens)in second place pull up the 3 flex cables (2 brown and 1 blue) always with care, then slowly pull the card to you and release the connector (cables) beneath the card and finally the last flex cable at the left side (beneath the first one) Then you need to unassembly the memory stick case and then the battery case You have now all the buttons system at your hand Look carefully and remember where goes every screws Oh! you need to look carefully too at the white cables, that goes to the falsh lamp and them carries high voltage, so I recommend you to use gloves, but ib this point they does nothing, if you open the flash compartment you can receive a high voltage discharge. I hope this can help you.
