Recurrent 'design fault' problem nowseems to be irreparable

I have read elsewhere that the reason the machine suddenly stops, flashes LOADING' while wrecking the DVD being recorded onto etc is due to overheating. This has happened fairly frequently. Usually if I unplug and plug in the machine, this sorts it. However this time,I got a lot of interference and 'noise' when using the DVD function and then it stopped working altogether and now just keeps flashing 'LOADING'.I tried turning the mchine off for 24 hours but this hasn't changed a thing. The guarantee has just run out. What can I do, the machine's only a year old! Is there any chance it will sort itself? Help!
