What could be the problem?

I have a JVC AV#36950 36" TV that will not turn back on. Will not respond to manual pushing of off and on button or remote. Do this have to go in for service or can it be fixed by me? If it can be fixed by me what part(s) should I be looking at or for. Thanks for any help.
