JVC TV AV-20FD24 powers down

I have a JVC AV-20FD24 TV/DVD combo set. I've recently come across a problem where the TV shuts off on it's own. I've tried to use both the remote and the local power button but the television shuts down within seconds of me turning it on. I've noticed that if I leave it unplugged overnight then plug it in the next day, it stays on for about 10 minutes before powering down again. I'm guessing there is an issue with the power supply but I wanted to do a quick online search to see if I could find any information before I bring in the TV for service. I'd appreciate any feedback.
