Sony KP53V35 has no sound or video - looking for ideas

Hi, I have a 8 yr old kp53v35 that has no sound and no video. I have the service manual, but it doesn't help me get started. I replaced the convergence board IC's about 1 yr ago....worked fine until recently. Any ideas?
