That is not true. I have 2 brand new DVD players which are Denon and Yamaha and these are new. They still sell these models. My Denon costs $369 and the other close to the same. I don't need one of them since I got a PS3 with a Blu Ray in it.

In regards to the cable; build one yourself. It’s not that hard, I recently put together a new one for my system. I did not like the short length of the original one so I made a longer one with new connectors from a local electronics supplier. The four prong plug used for this system is readily available and easy to get – just make sure you use a high quality wire, and not some cheap stuff from the local hardware store.

yeah, I own one of these systems too. they have a great sound and is perfect for my den. however, I lost my remote control for my system. Anyone know where I can get one? I have been looking for a few years now and have failed miserably. Thanks all. Jack

I OWN A SONY SAVA-500 AND I LOVE IT. I HAVE A PIONEER DVD PLAYER DV-563A EQUIPT WITH 5.1 OUTPUT HOOK UP. IT SOUNDS GREAT WHEN PLAYING ACTION TYPE MOVIES. I ALSO RECOMMEND TO HOOK UP A EXTERIOR PRE-AMP SUBWOOFER TO IT FOR SUPERIOR SOUND. IF YOU LOVE BASS.
