When you unplug the set do you hear a relay drop out? I doubt this will work but try entering the Service Menu, it may remove it from Timer Mode. Select TV and VCR on the remote. Press the Sleep Timer Button and set for 0 minutes. If Sleep Timer 0 Minutes is displayed on the screen, press the Display amd Video Status Buttons together. If you do get into the Service Menu, press the Exit Button on the Remote to finish. Good Luck, Eric
