Problem fixed, for anyone else who may get the same, this may help. First I removed the cmos battery, and that was a tempory fix, and I was able to use camera, as the dew sensor seem to require the cmos battery to work. Next I had found other forums which listed this as a common problem with sharp and other handycams, and that the due sensor just needed the soldered points resoldered . I have done that, and seems to be working better....now i can start recording my new baby boy. Thks for that tip about adding the resistor, the only problem is how do you know what value Resistor, is there a standard resistance to use ?
