Same here on a Sony TV from Nov. 1997- KV32S-26. I have taken it in 2 times to be repaired. Same problem as posted here. A year ago, I had sound but no picture. Repair was $100. Then a few months later it started going on and off and the a loud pop--no picture. 2nd Repair was over $250. Today, the set won't even power up. I have had RCA's and Mitsubithi last over 20 years and they still are working without any problems. Never will I ever buy a Sony Television again.
