I am out of words for what just happened here. I bought my camera 7 months ago at Best Buy. Worked great until tonight when my wife went to take a picture of my child and I and it wouldn’t work. The problem was the same as you’ve obviously read a million times (since you are reading this last post of mine). Depressed and overwhelmed with the sole idea of having to deal with the Beavises at the retail giant, found this very useful website. People, it works! I can’t believe I’m saying this. I shut the camera off and pushed the lens to the closed position. I hit the bottom and the side of the camera next to the lens, and, Voila! Camera works as prescribed. First thing I did was to take a photo of my perplexed wife.
